An MoU has been signed on 25th April 2024 between NTPC Limited and RINL (Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited) for supply of 9 lakh MT of Limestone over five years.

The MoU was signed by Shri S P S Virk (Chief General Manager, Corporate Centre-Fuel Management, NTPC) and Shri Rajat Aich (GM, Marketing & RM-AP), RINL in the presence of Shri S K Sinha (Head of Project, NTPC Simhadri) and Shri D K Mohanty (Director, Commercial), RINL.
Limestone is a raw material for FGD (Flue Gas Desulphurization) system which is being installed at coal based thermal plants of NTPC for reduction of SOx emission. This MoU will cater to the need of various plants of NTPC.
